When your document content leaves the device

By default, documents stay on your device.

Your document (or extracted text derived from it) is sent to Decodoc’s backend and AI service providers only when you explicitly start an action such as analysis, translation, or another document-processing feature that requires server or model processing.

What happens during that processing (high level)

1. The app sends the minimum content needed for the requested operation. 2. Decodoc’s backend may prepare, route, or transform the request. 3. AI providers (see Subprocessors page) may process the text to return structured results. 4. Results are returned to the app; structured outputs are intended to be stored locally as part of the local-first model.

Backend processing is temporary and not a substitute for cloud document storage.

What is not done with document content (by design)

Document content is not intended to be injected into analytics, crash reports, support_debug_events, or routine backend logs. Support may use separate channels and must avoid collecting document text unless you choose to send it.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions (Apple / Google / RevenueCat) control access and limits; they do not mean your full document library is uploaded to EIREEN Tech as default cloud storage.
